This 36" L36ei MFP Color Scanner Module from Canon is a scan-to-copy and scan-to-file system designed for low-volume subcontractors, primary education, design offices, architectural firms, and reproduction businesses. The scanner features a single component image sensor that is the full width of the scanner. Full-width image capture, as opposed to time delayed scanning of separate sections, means less risk of misalignment of scanned data. The scanner's LEDs require little warm-up time and provide a wide and consistent color gamut. This means less power consumption and less potential for shadows and artifacts at creases and folds. The unit has a maximum scan width of 36" and will handle documents up to 38" wide. Maximum scan length is an impressive 109", and the unit can handle media up to 5mm thick. Besides scan-to-copy, the L36ei lets you scan to USB, scan to copy and archive, scan to multiple PDFs, and scan to PC, as well as reduce and enlarge images. The scanner offers 600 dpi optical resolution, and with three different quality modes available, you can choose Draft, Standard, or Best Mode based on the scan you are making.
